Jonathan (Delgado) Levin is 52 years old, and was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Los Angeles by my adopted family, who although Mexican, maintained my Jewish upbringing. I grew up in a violent and gang infested area of the city, and decided to join the military to better myself.
I served in the United States Air Force and after being Honorably Discharged, became a Public Housing Security Officer for the County of Los Angeles in some of the most dangerous and violent housing projects in the US. During my 2 years of service, I was both stabbed and received a bullet wound from a ricochet fired at me during a foot pursuit. After the Los Angeles Riots of 1992, I moved to Canada and became an Armored car driver.
I joined the airlines and was working on my Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence until September 11th, 2001. I again answered the call of duty and served 10 months as a Private Contractor. I returned to Canada and in 2002 became a K9 Handler for the Agricultural unit of the Canada Border Service Agency. I left in 2014 and became the Head of Training and Program Coordinator for the Canadian Forces military family resource centre PTSD Dog Program.
Unfortunately the program did not last and I returned to aviation in 2018 and worked contracted for ElAl Cargo as a Loadmaster. I am now Head of Aircraft Line Service Training and Assistant to the Manager of a large aviation company who deals in business aviation.
In 2008 I was awarded, by the Governor of Kentucky a commission as Colonel, the highest honor in the state for my years of service to the US and military and veterans community. I am a Chaplain for a US Army Association, and a member of Italy’s Military Police ANC Carabinieri, a volunteer with Magen David Adom, and held numerous other military organizational positions and honors and have been very active in the Jewish community for many years. I am a licensed Private Investigator and member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers. . I am happily married for 19 years and have a former 3 year old Ex Customs K9 dog, named Bobby the 3rd.
